February 12th... marks the Opening Day for the 2010 Winter Olympics!
I can't help from watching the competitions each time the Olympic games come around and cheering wholeheartedly for athletes who represent my Country, The United States of America... and how proud I am to see our Flag rise and our anthem played at the Medal Ceremonies.
My Favorite Event to watch is Figure Skating. Although, I often wonder how fair the scoring is on this. Judges always seem to have their favorites beforehand and save high scores for those they expect to do better than the others. Also, Ice Skating lately became about getting in the right jumps, but I feel artistry is also an important element and makes skating such a lovely sport. For this reason, My favorite U.S. figure skater is Sasha Cohen... she is so dramatic and graceful on the ice... I was so sad to hear she didn't make the US Team this time around. I look forward to seeing who represents our Country.
I also find other events interesting... our US Hockey Team, Skiing, Speed Skating & Curling, etc...
Represent Our Country Well ... in Victory & Defeat.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!
The Olympic Games air on NBC. The Opening Ceremonies air from Vancouver, Canada at 7:30 PM est. on February 12, 2010.
