Fireworks & Christmas Movies in July

I've never really cared for the label... "Christmas in July". To me, Christmas is strictly in December, with the cold and the snow... the hustle and bustle, and the celebration centering around the Christ Child's birth. I love that Special time of year, and I love July, as well.... but July is wonderful in it's own right.

The Fourth of July is a grand event. It makes you think of freedom, our Troops who fight for us today, our heroic Veterans, fireworks, picnics, strolls through the park, outdoor games, and lots of fond family memories!

There are some Fun Family 4th of July Shows airing on TV, including:

July 3rd, 2008 Thursday

Chicago's Summer Blast: Fireworks & the Taste of Chicago WGN 10 PM

July 4th, 2008 Friday

Capitol Fourth PBS 8 PM (check local)

4th of July Live! TRAVEL Channel 9 PM

Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular NBC 9 PM (check local)

Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular CBS 10 PM (check local)

There are also some Christmas Movies, however, airing in July... and even though I don't like the label Christmas in July, I do love CHRISTMAS MOVIES all year round!!! I'm a sucker for them anytime of the year... so I am thrilled to see that Lifetime and Lifetime Movie Network will be playing some of my favorites, including....

On the Second Day of Christmas, Christmas Child, Family Holiday, Borrowed Hearts, and More!

Happy 4th of July! God Bless America and our Troops!

Favorite Wedding DVD's

I wanted to share my favorite Wedding DVD's that are currently featured on my web-site...

Father of the Bride

Wedding Daze

The Waltons Season 5 (featuring Mary Ellen's Wedding)

I love all of these Wedding Shows. First of all, Steve Martin portrays the best Father of the Bride... who wants to protect his daughter and his wallet! He is protective, caring, emotional, funny, and so sweet! I fall in love with this movie every time I see it. I even heard that First Lady Mrs. Bush gave this dvd to President Bush to watch before their daughter, Jenna's wedding.

Wedding Daze carries on in the same sort of tradition of Father of the Bride. John Larroquette plays the father this time around, but instead of just wanting to protect one daughter and his wallet.... he has to worry about 3 of his daughters... all getting married, at the same time, on the same Day!!! It's just as sweet, innocent, decent, and fun as Father of the Bride.

The Waltons Seasons 5 features the wedding of Mary Ellen. The older Walton Children are all certainly growing up and life on the Mountain is changing as we enter into Season 5. Mary Ellen, at first finds herself engaged to David Spencer, but very much attracted to the new Doctor, Curt Willard. Who will she ultimately choose? It's a love triangle of great Chemistry, Mystery, and Intrigue... and just as warm and wonderful as each episode of The Waltons is!

If you love The Waltons, then please stop by and visit my web-site, A walk with Grandpa Walton... and the Walton Family.

Do you love these Wedding DVDs / shows or do you have other Wedding Movies, you also enjoy?

Have a Wonderful Week, Net Movie Blogger
