The Lifetime Movie Network Original Movie "Amish Grace" is based on a true story about the aftermath that followed the 2006 schoolhouse shooting in the Amish community of Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania.

The peaceful Amish community of Nickel Mines is forever changed when a gunman senselessly takes the lives of five girls in a schoolhouse shooting before taking his own life.

What transpires afterward takes the community by storm, as the media descend on the town and criticize its Amish leaders for their notion of unconditional forgiveness of the shooter and their outreach of support to his widow, Amy Roberts (Tammy Blanchard). Devastated by her daughter’s death, Ida Graber (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) finds herself struggling with her community’s belief in the transcending power of forgiveness. Deeply conflicted and unable to forgive the gunman and his family, Ida is tempted to leave the only life she’s ever known before re-embracing her faith.

Lifetime Christmas Movies

I just added in the Christmas TV Schedule - Lifetime's Family Christmas Movies for the month of December.

Please note: I excluded some Lifetime Christmas movies from my Christmas Guide that are not Family - Friendly.

You can see the complete Lifetime December schedule, on their site, here:

http://www.mylifetime.com/on-tv/schedule/daily/2009/12/1/ET

I've received e-mails from people searching for the Lifetime Original Movie - On the 2nd Day of Christmas. Unfortunately, it is not listed on their schedule for December. For years now, it has been one of my many favorites! It's so adorable with Bert (Mark Ruffalo), the Mall Security Guard and Trish (Mary Stuart Masterson), the Pick-Pocketer, with her little niece and partner in crime, Patsy, who is such a sweet little girl and actress.

While I do not see this on Lifetime's Schedule... I will be sure to look for it on Lifetime Movie Network and other Channels. Please let me know if any of you discover it anywhere.

God bless and Happy Thanksgiving!!!

*UPDATE:
On the 2nd Day of Christmas will air on Lifetime Movie Network - Dec. 14 at 6 PM.

Now if he can only keep the kids away from the state investigator tracking them down, keep the confused nanny from discovering the ruse, and convince his grandfather's representative that all is as it seems -- he'll be a very rich man.

Movie Review:

Our family loved this very sweet Christmas Movie. Grab some popcorn for this one and simply enjoy! It's super cute and super sweet and has a very nice happy ending!

The children in this are so adorable and I loved how Dave Coulier seemed so much like his fun Joey (Full House) character. This is one Full House fans will surely love!

A terrific Family Christmas Movie!

And, in addition to the children... the Dog in this Movie is sooooo Adorable, too!

Christmas in Paradise

MOVIE REVIEW

Christmas in Paradise -Lifetime

CAST:

Charlotte Ross ... Dana Marino
Colin Ferguson ... Dan Casey
Devon Werkheiser ... Chris Marino
Aria Wallace ... Nell
Kenton Duty ... Michael Marino
Marta Martin ... Madeline
Josie Loren ... Blair
Abimael Linares ... Julio
Rafa Alvarez ... Mr. Cruz
Teofilo Torres ... Benito
Gil René ... Street Vendor
Axel Anderson ... Grandpa Cruz
Luz María Rondón ... Grandma Cruz

PLOT:

"Christmas in Paradise" featuring Charlotte Ross (Lifetime's "Nora Roberts' Montana Sky") and Colin Ferguson ("Eureka"). It's a story where two families meet aboard a cruise ship only to have the holiday shattered by a visitor from one of their pasts.

Movie Review:

The young children in this movie were cute, but that's about all. Charlotte Ross's character, Dana, is widowed, while the man she meets on vacation, Dan, is divorced. His ex shows up and really shakes things up. Dan and Dana's older children sneak out together in the middle of the night and end up sleeping in the same bed. Not a wholesome family movie - by any means. The whole movie was slow and not up-lifting. Frankly, it was rather odd. This mariachi band would show up playing and these men dressed as the three wise men. It didn't, honestly, make any sense. While I have always liked Charlotte Ross as an actress, I must say, I didn't care for this movie, at all.

A Very Merry Daughter of the Bride

MOVIE REVIEW

A Very Merry Daughter of the Bride:
Lifetime Channel Movie for Christmastime.

CAST:

Lorette Clow ... Liz Sandor
Joanna Garcia ... Roxanne
Christy Greene ... Jessica
James D. Hopkin ... Martin Sandor
Chantal Perron ... Tish
Luke Perry ... Charlie
Helen Shaver ... Rose
Myrna Vallance ... Angry Bride

PLOT:

from Lifetime-

A twenty-something wedding planner disapproves of her mothers whirlwind romance. Unable to stop her mothers wedding, she decides to take control of it. There are disasters as plans go awry and moments of heartfelt emotion, as the daughter learns that letting go works both ways.

Movie Review: (May Contain Spoilers)

This movie was a bit off the wall. The Mother (Rose) went to Paris and came back with a completely different attitude and a fiance who she was madly in love with, in spite of the two barely knowing one another.

The daughter (Roxanne) has an old relationship with the boy next door (Dillion) who has returned and wants to get back together. He never explains why he left years ago when they were engaged - yet, he wants a second chance. Please! And... by the way... who dressed this guy? He wore the strangest tight sweater cardigans with mallard ducks on them and stocking knit hats.

The Mother and her Fiance are over the top - kissing in almost every scene they are in. It was too much to take.

Roxanne is disturbed about this new man replacing her father and her Mother moving away and leaving her to run their Bridal Shop. Later in the movie... the Mother reveals that her father wasn't a good husband and had cheated on her many times. Well, her father had passed away years ago in a car accident - so he's not here to defend himself and suddenly the daughter is calling her Mother's new fiance - Dad.

Luke Perry's character was interesting.. He didn't want his father to marry Rose and he did almost anything and everything to stop it, yet... he was at the wedding celebrating. Didn't understand that. And Jason Priestley (his 90210 buddy) had a small part at the beginning of the movie - playing a groom making out with another girl in a closet on the day of his wedding.

Definitely an odd movie.

I say Skip this one.

Today I updated the Family TV Schedule with the Networks- Hallmark Channel, ABCfamily, TBN, ABC, Lifetime, and Lifetime Movie Network.

Tomorrow I will add in GMC (Gospel Music Channel), ION, Local Channels, Disney, Disney XD, Carton Network, etc....

What's up with the web-site updating?

No News on that front, yet. The site will be here, though, for the Christmas Schedule. Just be sure to visit my web domain http://www.itsawonderfulmovie.com/ - that will direct you to wherever my new web-site is hosted.

By the way, I will still be updating the Family Schedule, for now...

Til next time... God bless!

6 Days til Christmas!!!

6 Days til Christmas... it's almost hard to believe it! It won't be long now before Santa will be coming down all of our chimneys!

I've tried to watch as many of the new Christmas Movies... as possible, however I've had to record some and I'll have to catch up with them after Christmas.

I am so glad we have the Hallmark Channel. By far, I think they have had the very best family Christmas Movies this year.

I'm off to go do some wrapping now.... while White Christmas plays on Lifetime!

God bless & Merry CHRISTmas!!!

Fireworks & Christmas Movies in July

I've never really cared for the label... "Christmas in July". To me, Christmas is strictly in December, with the cold and the snow... the hustle and bustle, and the celebration centering around the Christ Child's birth. I love that Special time of year, and I love July, as well.... but July is wonderful in it's own right.

The Fourth of July is a grand event. It makes you think of freedom, our Troops who fight for us today, our heroic Veterans, fireworks, picnics, strolls through the park, outdoor games, and lots of fond family memories!

There are some Fun Family 4th of July Shows airing on TV, including:

July 3rd, 2008 Thursday

Chicago's Summer Blast: Fireworks & the Taste of Chicago WGN 10 PM

July 4th, 2008 Friday

Capitol Fourth PBS 8 PM (check local)

4th of July Live! TRAVEL Channel 9 PM

Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular NBC 9 PM (check local)

Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular CBS 10 PM (check local)

There are also some Christmas Movies, however, airing in July... and even though I don't like the label Christmas in July, I do love CHRISTMAS MOVIES all year round!!! I'm a sucker for them anytime of the year... so I am thrilled to see that Lifetime and Lifetime Movie Network will be playing some of my favorites, including....

On the Second Day of Christmas, Christmas Child, Family Holiday, Borrowed Hearts, and More!

Click Here for the Family Movie Night TV Listings!

Happy 4th of July! God Bless America and our Troops!
