It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!

It's that time of year, again! Don't Miss it!

The Annual Special - It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, airs Tonight - October 27, 2011 - on ABC at 8 PM est.

(Yes, I know, "Oh, Good Grief"... it airs opposite of Baseball - the World Series Game 6 on Fox! ((Go Texas Rangers!)) If you just can't turn the game, You can also download it online and watch it on instant video!

I don't typically promote Halloween programming - as the focus here at It's a Wonderful Movie remains mostly on all of the upcoming Christmas TV Movies, however, we just had to make an exception for Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Sally, Snoopy, and all of our favorite characters in the Peanuts Gang! They know how to make all of the Holidays fun for children and families!

ABC will also be airing You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown in this hour long special! Enjoy the show!

Charlie Brown vs Shrek Premiere... Tonight !!!

This is scary!!! ABC & NBC scheduled both cartoons at the very same time!

October 28, 2010 Thursday

It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown ... ABC ... 8 PM – 9 PM
Scared Shrekless ... NBC ... 8 PM – 8:30 PM *NEW

How unfortunate for children who don't get much great programming in Prime Time and would love to see both! Not only is it playing opposite of the 2nd World Series Baseball Game, but they are playing at the same time at 8 PM est! (Go Texas, by the way - not my #1 Team, but my World Series Pick!)

I'm afraid poor Charlie Brown will "get the shaft" (as the little girl says in National Lampoons Christmas Vacation) - since Shrek is brand new. I know at our house, though, Charlie Brown will rule! How about yours???

The Charlie Brown hour will also include - "You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown". Hope some of you can watch one and tape the other.

Enjoy, Everyone!

Who did you choose?

Charlie Brown or Shrek?

Charlie Brown.... The Great Pumpkin is Coming!!!

"Oh, Good Grief!!! Don't be a Blockhead..."

It's nearing the time to join Linus & Sally in the Pumpkin Patch & go Trick or Treating with Charlie Brown and the whole Peanuts Gang!

Catch "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28 from 8:00-9:00 p.m. EST on ABC.

The DVD pictured to the right is the Blu-Ray Version. Click here for the all new Re-mastered Version.

from ABC press release:
The classic animated Halloween-themed PEANUTS special, "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown," created by late cartoonist Charles M. Schulz, returns, along with a bonus PEANUTS cartoon, "This is America, Charlie Brown: The Mayflower Voyagers."

My favorite part of this classic - Sally! She is so adorable when she realizes her sweet baboo has wronged her about the Great Pumpkin and she's missed out on her night of getting candy. (Been there, Ladies?) Sally is the absolute best... a little dramatic, maybe, but oh,  soooo adorable!!! That's why we love her ~ we can relate!!!
